In the post modern age the impact of the near instantaneous availability of almost unimaginable amounts of information presents great value as well as a great challenge as it impacts on every social institution challenging us all to preserve the best of the past in the ever-changing new. One threat posed by the surfeit of information is of even less critical thinking as people are so overwhelmed by information in all forms that there is little time or support for reflection and critical judgment. The challenge is to develop the intellectual skills for effective reflection, reason and evaluation and to preserve those values that were presented and held highly before the great change in communications and human interaction took place. Hopefully the materials intended for educational purposes listed on this site do preserve and present something of value.

This site's Textbooks offer a variety of online textbooks in Philosophy that attempt to assist in the development of critical thinking skills. In the Projects listings there are some works related to pedagogies to achieve that end. Under Academic Institutions there is a listing of the colleges through which classes are offered by the author.
